7FORTRESSES consists of seven pieces: seven fortresses. The shape of the fortress in the video is based on the 16th century map of ‘s-Hertogenbosch drawn by Jacob van Deventer. The art work shows the vulnerability of the concept fortress. In the magnificence of life the fortress is merely an error of thought.
The video was shot in Spain, the country where the southern wall of the Fortress of Europe is located.
